This 1-hour workshop provides a general introduction to the truss industry and its history, truss configurations, and truss applications and advantages. The second half of the course includes a comprehensive glossary of truss and truss-related terminology. The goal of the course is to give general, building and residential contractors; building officials; architects and engineers an understanding of the truss industry, some of the truss configurations that are available and comprehensive coverage of the terminology used in the industry. Upon completing the course, participants will understand common types of truss configurations, their applications and specific terminology used in the truss industry.
