Online CTWs
Format:
An auto-run course accessed through the CTW website.

Benefits:
  • Participants have flexibility and choose when and where they take the course.
  • Over 20 courses on the CTW website are available 24/7.
  • Quizzes are available at the end of each course to show completion for CEU credit. Contact SBCA staff if you have questions on eligibility in your state.
  • Students may email SBCA’s technical team to ask questions.
Select this Approach for:
Individuals that would like a course brought directly to them through their computer.

How to Get Started:
View a list of online CTW courses.
Contact SBCA staff to sponsor CTW coupons to help current and potential customers take CTWs and earn continuing education credit (CEUs/PDHs).

Web-Based CTWs
Format: Online CTW class with a live instructor on the phone/Internet.

Benefits:
  • Participants are connected through the Internet and a teleconference line in real-time.
  • Handout packages can be mailed in advance or posted online for viewing.
  • Presentations can be easily customized to suit the needs of the audience.
  • Participants can ask questions and learn from other attendees.
Select this Approach for: A group that would like the one-on-one interaction without traveling to a central location.

Component Plant Tours
Format:
A walking tour of your manufacturing facility with one or more stations and representatives.

Benefits:
  • Participants gain a first-hand understanding of the inner operations of a component plant.
  • This is probably the most powerful teaching and learning opportunity our industry can provide in communities across the country.
  • Seeing we are a high tech industry with a commitment to quality allows participants to gain a much greater appreciation for all that goes into building components.

Everyone! Tours are appropriate for all groups and/or individuals and they can be coordinated to fit everyone’s schedule.
